It's a combination of the U.S. wanting to break Putin as the Rouble has lost half its value and the Saudis trying to shut down the U.S. shale oil industry.
Us paying less for gas is just a secondary short run benefit.
If this lasts long, SWLA will have major oil & gas projects halted along with hiring freezes.
