Watching on Spike. Haven't seen it in a few years. Forgot how good of a film it is.

What is y'all's opinion on it, good or bad?

It's a solid movie that didn't really stick with me.

Meh movie. Should have kept it like the original movie/book. So much more awesome.

Like the original? It's a remake?

Yep. I liked it well enough but it's not something that will automatically get me to stop flipping channels should I run across it.

And him having to kill his own dog gave me the sads. Much worse than watching his family get shot out of the sky so maybe something is wrong with me.

The ending was idiotic and had nothing to do with the original book.

It's a sort-of-remake of The Omega Man, which IIRC was based off of the I Am Legend book.

In the book, he realizes the zombies/creatures are intelligent and are scared of him. He has become part of their lore for taking members of their tribe and experimenting on them, hence he is one of their legends.

Basically. I really enjoyed the scenes of him wandering around and exploring the post-outbreak world. When the setting shifted to his home at the end of the movie, it went downhill.

That sounds dumber than the movie. Although I haven't read it so who knows.

Could be. I'm a big fan of ethical/moral debates so that's the kind of stuff I find interesting.

Yeah, the first half or so was good, then after the dog died, and it became about him vs. a bunch of cartoon zombies, it sucked a huge dick.

It's the whole point of the story, but whatever.
