That's sad and puts a damper on my celebration. Volunteers are the lifeblood of a campaign and an accident like this is absolutely horrific.
So sad. Many prayers to that fine lady.

Is this true? I did read where a woman was hit and killed on a rural road in shreveport but I don't think it Was close to any piling place nor did the news say it was a woman canvassing

I'll see if I can get a link, but Mary said this in her concession speech.

I didn't say I was happy she died, I just said I'm not upset about it. These people are destroying our country, how should I feel? Sorry thought police.

I know she said it and I heard the local news station Echo it saying the woman was canvassing as well as was either a member of Glovers cabinet (sport mayor)or part of his campaign team,or canvassing with him. I just caught the end. But I did read on KTBS where a woman was stuck and killed on Buncombe Rd. it didn't mention anything about canvassing. Only thing I can think of is it may have been at the intersection of Bumcombe and Woolworth because there is a elementary scool not to far but it just said Buncombe Rd and that's a road that runs from Shreveport to TX

Well, I hope you become less jaded over time. Politics is just that, politics. I'm not saying you should break out the black wardrobe or anything, but this person was out there doing the democratic process.

I edited. Sorry, but I feel very strongly about my politics/convictions. And the people on the left I consider the enemy. I know their lowlife tactics and actions. I don't have much pity for any of them for their actions or goals. Sorry, but I take it seriously.

I wonder what the parents of the kids who died this year from diseases brought to their schools from illegal alien kids would think about 'politics is just politics'.

Wow that's awful. Sorry to hear.

I'm sorry for this lady and her family. She died doing something she believed in, and that's always sad.

Thank for the edit.
Everyone who volunteers in politics, no matter which side of the aisle they advocate, should be commended. Its a tough, thankless job, but those people are out there fighting for what they believe. Even I don't agree, I respect the hell out of them.

So someone getting killed canvassing deserved it due to their actions?
Thanks for fulfilling my prophecy that the Repubs would take the high road tonight

Sandestini was probably an eager, idealistic college student holding a sign with her whole life ahead of her. People need to learn to freaking drive.
