All this talk of #decline and Mizzou sucking and undeserving got me thinking.

Since joining the SEC they are 16-8 regular season, 16-9 reg +post. LSU is 15-9. Keep in mind 2012 MU was in transition, was 2-8, and injury riddled. We were coming off an undefeated SEC.

In terms of common opponents, we are equal having each won 3 games the other lost. LSU - 12 USC, 12 A&M, 13 Auburn. MU - 13 Ole Miss, 13 UGa, 14 Arkansas.

That's 13 common opponents over 3 years and the net is equal. So, it would appear the programs have been relatively equal and I would expect better.

That said, today only Geaux Truman Tigers

To be fair, if LSU were in the SECE, we might have 2 also.

So the same record against 13 common opponents is apples to oranges? I wish it were.

You cannot compare an SEC west schedule with an east schedule. OOC schedule favors LSU as well. Common opponents are all fine and good, but playing TAM and UT before Arkansas is a bit different than playing OM and Bama before Arkansas, not even mentioning the home field advantage Mizzou had with Arkansas.

Having said that go Mizzou!!!

Sure, the OP doesn't tell everything, but I was still disappointed.

So you're disappointed that LSU has roughly the same record as the team that has won the last 2 SEC East Division titles, even though LSU plays in the toughest division in college football?

Makes perfect sense.

LSU would have won the east each of the last three years too. Problem is, the SEC East is god awful.

Am I the only one that gets my drawers in a wad when Bama fans feel the need to comment on our opinions? Denial, irrational debate, etc.?
We're entitled to analyze, speculate or whatever
@#$@ thing we want to do.

Last I checked Mizzou beat an Arkansas team that held us to 123 total yards. Get your tiger vision goggles off people, we would not have WON the East. Maybe next year.
