You have to work your way around and dodge his fire. When you get over that first bridge and see the area with a wooden scaffold on the left and some statues. Go directly right and jump off. Do not go forward and down that ladder.
You'll eventually come to a ladder you can climb up to kill him, but he is tough. I recommend not taking him on yet.
There is another hunter beneath his tower that will attack you. He isn't as tough, but he is no pushover.

I've been up the ladder and he killed me. The next time I went below and explored the creepy church style building beneath. I cleared that area and came back up through the gate. Unless I missed something, the only area for me to go is up the ladder across from him but like I said, he will shoot me down. I think I have to face him unless I'm still missing something.

After about 5 tries, The Cleric Beast is dead!
Wore him down with molotovs early then had enough vials to just get behind him, hit him, and dodge him.
Such an amazing rush beating him haha. I yelled "frick you You Cleric frick!" at my TV as it died.

He was pretty easy, just run up to him and hit him once or twice he will fall off and die. The one on the ground was more tough in my opinion.

Go back down that ladder passed the gate again. There is a big walkway right next to that.

If you knock him off the ledge, just quit the game and start it back up to get his loot.

I don't see how y'all knocked him off. He was already facing me when I got up there and was ready for a fight.

Going to get a couple of achievements tonight and maybe go ahead and beat the game. Might start a Waste of Skin playthrough.

Same for me, but he kept trying to dodge my attacks and eventually just dodged too far and fell off

I charged his arse as soon as I got to the platform, he dodged backwards and I knocked him off.

Gonna do a waste of skin run too. Wish I had pumped more into arcane because the blades of mercy seem awesome for pvp

Softcap for arcane is 25. Be easy to level up and use a gem on them.

People that got it early.
It's surprisingly easy to platinum. The hardest trophy is one in which you have to fight the final boss at the end of the chalice dungeons.
