It's my personal favorite. Dark Souls is a close second, but the difference is that the second half of BB doesn't feel like a fetch quest with no momentum. And it's filled with Lovecraftian weirdness that makes me really happy.
It's all a matter of preference. All the games do things better and worse than others.

Hot damn! Just found the shortcut in forbidden woods that takes me straight back to the lantern.

yea, i asked earlier, but do you din this to be more difficult, less difficult or about the same compared to others in the series?

So I had planned on skipping this game but decided I'd give it a try after the reviews and hooplah surrounding it.
I played Dark Souls, and while I enjoyed the whole medieval knight theme, I just couldn't get in to it. I was also younger so the high difficulty and start over after death thing really annoyed me.
But Bloodborne is a whole other beast. I still haven't beat that Cleric bitch and I'm already hooked.
The look, the controls, enemies, all tie together to create a phenomenal game.
*Still unsure where you go to fix your weapon, I've been back to the Hunters Dream but I can't find anything. Also, how many blood vials did those of you past the Cleric use when you beat him? TIA*

To fix your weapon, go into the building in the hunter's dream and go to a desk on the right wall.

So it may be too early but where do you guys experienced with the souls series rank this one?
cant say, yet. Dark Souls is the GOAT in my opinion, but I'm only 6 or 6 bosses in and feel like I have a ton left. The environments and world are right up my alley. May top DS if it maintains this level of quality

I'm trying to temper my excitement since I've only beaten 2 bosses but I'm loving it. I keep thinking I want to go play demon's souls after this but I have a long way to go.

I'd say it's on par with Demon's and Dark Souls, but it really depends on the individual. It's certainly challenging, but there's never been a moment where I got so frustrated that I had to sit the controller down and take a break.

Do it. We will conquer it.
Posted on 3/30/15 at 6:21 pm to tconle2
I'm far away from doing that though

i have demon's souls, and while i really want to like it, it just never hooked me, unlike BB. I just couldn't get into it for some reason. I know BB and DeS are basically the same format wise, but BB is just so much more fun that DeS. I don't know if it's the pacing of combat or what

These woods are a fricking maze and these snakes suck.
Found the 2nd elevator. Good news is that I can now get back here easily. Bad news is that means there isn't a lantern around here now.

Really you can just run your way to the boss from there. Follow the path till you hit the pond and take a right. Go past the second boar and you'll get to a T intersection and you'll make a left.

The combat is slower in demon's

Should I go ahead and use a blood gem on my axe?
Posted on 3/30/15 at 10:36 pm to Mr Gardoki
What kind of gem and are you going physical damage?
Posted on 3/30/15 at 10:43 pm to JombieZombie
I have two different tempering blood gemstones, both with physical attack
