Hand Gun 4 day hold?

I've heard this as well, my buddy got delayed a couple of months ago, he has a TWIC and Security passport too.

But last year, when I purchased my first pistol on my 21st bday, I didn't get delayed, and I also had a TWIC and security passport at the time/still do.

Im going to be purchasing another pistol to conceal in the next couple of weeks, I hope I don't get delayed!

Well from what I said in my previous post, completely supports your statement, he bought his from academy, and i got mine from barking irons, a really small local gun shop.

They see something in your background that needs additional checking. it will be forwarded to a atf agent who will look at it. it could be approved from 1 hr to them never calling back. If you had a concealed carry license issued August 2014 or later it does not have to be called in. If bought from academy they will only transfer it if they get called back with an approval. Corp policy will not let them transfer after the 3 day hold.

I agree with this, I've had a twice card since they were required. I've bought 7 or 8 guns since then probably haven't been delayed once.

I have both and never had to wait with Academy.

Pretty much a TWIC card before the TWIC card was around. Its obsolete now that the TWIC card exist. I still have both
