Would not be surprised to see Curtis roll big. They've been there too many times and usually find another level in the playoffs.

I predict that U-High will finally collect that ring that Curtis (3 times), Evangel, and Calvary kept my boys from collecting the 5 years combined that they were in the playoffs. It will be ironic if this year's Curtis team wins 5A, since there is no way anyone will convince me it matches their last year's team. One year after the youngest graduates, Curtis changes divisions.

Listening to them grumble, I told them it is a good lesson about how unfair life can be.

I hope the Cubs aren't overconfident, as the PBS program has had great success in the Dome. I know Chad didn't let them get overconfident in last year's playoff rematch and I'm sure they won't be this time.

Would be great to see Nick finally get a ring-he's given that program so much. Go Cubs!

IDK.

I do know Hahnville live streams all of their games on youtube..... maybe check there. Or maybe check LHSAA.ORG to see if they have a link?

Last year, the games weren't shown live, only a week or two later on tape delay, and I think I remember reading then, no live broadcast (idk about radio).

It's not Hahnville, it's the TV production class at the St. Charles Satellite Center. The kids go there from Hahnville and Destrehan for 1/2 day and take the rest of their classes at their high school. It's a great program but they only broadcast HHS or Destrehan games. I would think they'll be streaming the Destrehan-WM game tonight.

Next year will be even more crazy if they even make it to the Dome. Curtis graduates 2/3 of their starters and their only serious threat at QB. I noticed that the NOLA.com article had several wrong years for the players. This is a senior heavy team.

Yep. West Monroe has never recruited a player. Barbe has never recruited a player. Dutchtown has never recruited a player. Get out of here with that BS.

I've known many kids, who live in Jefferson and attend NOLA public schools. How did they get there? It is especially problematic on the WB (non-Orleans portion).

This is typical for most Curtis teams. Kids get into the program and wait their turn. There are a few exceptions of kids that play as freshman and sophmores, but generally, teams are led by upperclassmen. Next years team will be ready to make a run at a State Championship, just like the last 19 years of Curtis teams.
