I'm thinking about getting my truck detailed and was curious if anyone had recommendations in the Lafayette area? It seems to get a well done detail job where they clean the interior and polish out scratches and chips in the exterior paint will cost about $350. So I would like to pick a recommended one.

I saw a post on here a while back about some great DIY tips and products. But I would rather just pay.

Thanks

Are your hands broken or are you otherwise incapacitated in any way?

Paint correction is a skill, and required a substantial investment in quality tools and chemicals. It's not an issue of just being lazy.

This

I am not looking for a car wash service. Detailing is a much different thing. Which is why it is not cheap.

Larry's Buff and Shine. He's mobile, and knows his shite. He did a full detail on my truck and I believe it was $315. He's good people, look him up on google.

You obviously have no idea how much real detail supplies cost. Those guys don't use stuff you buy in the auto section of Walmart. You clearly do not know what you're talking about.

This x's a million. I have a porter cable and some quality products from auto geek, I've "detailed" my vehicle multiple times...and even at that, my work would look like crap compared to guys who are pros. It is not easy and requires a lot of skill and knowledge.

ETA: OP, I don't know anyone in the Lafayette area...but a lot of these guys are mobile and will come to your house. I'd just call around the BR and Lafayette areas...I'm sure you can find someone. Or, post on the autogeek forum...there may be someone there who does it as a hobby and would be willing to detail yours for a littl cheaper. You never know...

Thanks!

I would rather pay for good service so i'm not really looking to cheap out, just want to make sure I get quality works. But obviously cheaper would be nice.

I've recommended Larry's Buff n Shine on here many times.

Excellent workmanship. He misses nothing. He offers a 3 month, a 6 month, and a 1 yr protection package. Get at least the 6 month package. Your car will look showroom condition for a long time. He details engines too, but that's extra.

Time Saver mobile detail. He will come to you. He cleans Vettes, Lambos, and other high end cars.
