UNC beat Duke.
They have to be ranked ahead of them.

That's how he did the rest of the rankings if you look at the teams at the bottom.

VTech also lost to ECU and Wake Forest so I guess that makes OSU 7th best in the state of North Carolina.

Well, the Pioneer league teams are clearly the shittiest, so they go straight to the bottom.
Then I have WCU who is too pussy to play a real in state team.
Charlotte is a tricky one to place. They have some good wins and bad losses. I feel like you could make a case for them anywhere between 7-11.
Elon fricking sucks. and Gardner webb is only slightly better.
Then you have the respectable MEAC teams and shitty Wake. But Wake would probably beat all the teams below them. I hope. App and UNC would be a good game.
Duke has to be ahead of NC State when looking at the 4 common opponents. NC State had to be above ECU for same reason. Plus sniff test for the prior two mentioned. And UNC lost to 2/3 of those teams and theres no way I could justify them being ahead of NC State or ECU.

I was talking about a direct head to head. The transitive property doesn't work in college football.
But playing your game.
Baylor lost to WVU who lost to Texas who lost to BYU who lost to UCF who lost to Connecticut who lost to Temple who lost to Memphis who lost to UTSA who lost to FIU who lost to Bethune Cookman who lost to South Carolina State who lost to North Carolina Central
So Baylor is the 8th best team in North Carolina

Where do you think the UNC-Charlotte stacks up in the future? I believe they move up to FBS next year?

VERY promising future. They are in a geographically favorable area for talent. Their only real in state competition in that area of that state is App. Charlotte is a rapidly expanding city where a lot of the states best recruits come from. It's unfortunate for ASU that they are just now becoming D1. Charlotte having a football program will probably really hurt them.
The claim of best in state football team is really up for grabs and should only get more competitive. Itll be interesting to see how things shape up over the next 5-10 years between ASU, Charlotte, UNC, ECU, NCSU, and Duke.
eta: Wake is always gonna blow.

So similar to UTSA?
eta: IDK, WFU has a young team that could be bowl eligible by the time they are all seniors.

Didn't they win the Orange Bowl that one year? Or did they lose to Kansas?
Posted on 12/5/14 at 12:20 am to BayouBengals03
Yea, someone they were good like 7 years ago. I just cant fathom it happening again.
