The riots in Ferguson and protests in NYC have led to a largely widespread proposal and possible acceptance of lapel cameras to help avoid these situations in the future. Is this a step toward further surveillance? Interesting thought, IMHO.

I love the idea of cops wearing cameras. It's a win win for everyone.
But go ahead with your conspiracy stuff if it makes for a good story.

What's the point of spending hundreds of millions of dollars on body cams when you get caught killing on video and walk free anyway like what just happened in NYC?

Cops will find a way to disable them or point them the other way when they're doing shite they shouldn't.

I find it interesting that the group that largely distrusts police officers and was all over the NSA revelations is okay with cops walking around with cameras all over them, y'know, for the greater good.
