I work in I.T.
A customer just requested my cell phone so her boss can call me about a laptop. They know our office number.
WTF? I guess not. These bitches are crazy. If I gave my cell to my customers I'd need a new number in a week.

Just say it is your personal phone and not your work phone, so it cannot be given out.
When customers ask for our of our technicians' numbers, I always tell them we don't give out employees' personal phone numbers.
