So I've always been a casual golfer and now that I'm into my 30's I'd like to start playing more often.(I can't hold up like i used to playing flag football, soccer, basketball, etc)

I've always shot right above 100 and that was playing a few times a year. I'm trying to play or hit the range at least once a week and I can already score in the 90's after doing that for two months. I think I can be in the 80's consistently in a year or so.

My gear i have now is
Putter- Odyssey
Driver- Some random 300cc Nike Driver i bought from target 10 years ago
Wedges- Fairly new Calloways
Irons- King Cobra II's that are atleast 15 years old.

When should I upgrade my equipment, handicap wise. I guess more specifically my irons. I'll probably get a new driver soon because I need something with a stiffer shaft due to my club speed. I've also been told there is no good reason to hit my 3 and 4 irons and i should have hybrids.

Doesn't sound like it.

Dude must have enough torque to cover that part of the bag with a mini and 3 hybrid.

My BIL plays with some 25 year old forged Hogan irons. Old arse Calloway driver. He shoots 84 consistently and plays about 15-20 rounds per year. He played a lot more when he was younger.

It's not the equipment.

Lets just say Par 5's aren't my strong suit.
