Just a little debate question for everyone. We have been with Les Miles for 10 years and have seen his ups and downs. We know what we have and know the current status of the program. So, if UM comes knocking or if Jimmy Sexton says they are coming, should LSU offer Miles any salary increase or extension? Should they tell him to make a choice?

If he does, Alleva's remaining time here will be very very short.

BTW, Les's agent is George Bass, not Jimmy Sexton.

shite no.

If he won the sec next year, I'd lead the charge for him to get a raise.

How about just not offer him an extension and see what he does. Why in earth would you once again give this guy an extension by possibly using the Michigan job as leverage is just plain stupid to me.

Alleva should have called his bluff when he pulled that arky shite on us. Should have told him to win something worth getting a raise.

I'd be willing to negotiate a raise while simultaneously removing a couple of years from his buyout.

I don't want Miles gone, but I hate the fact that we are in a position that we are in with respect to his buyout. I'd much rather overpay for him in current years than be handcuffed in future years should the outlook on the program change.

It seems to me that we could make things attractive to Miles from a salary standpoint to make this viable.
