After using both I would certainly get the G3 over the S5. Of course my brother in law and sister have the S5 and they love it. This late in the year though I would get the Note 4 or Nexus 6 or wait for the updated devices in the first quarter of next year.

I went from a Galaxy 4 to the LG G3 and like it a lot.

G3 or Nexus 6. Nexus may be too big of a screen size transformation from the iPhone 5 though.

Was a Galaxy S(3&4) and a Note 2 user for several years.
Made the switch to the G3 this year. I'll never go back to Samsung and it's shitty, "overstuffed" Touchwiz UI...
Love the G3 and highly recommend it!
