The Baker Street thread got me thinking about this.
I think the best I've ever heard in this genre is Phil Kenzie on Al Stewart's "Song on the Radio" Give it a listen for the sax solos and riffs intermixed in the song. Incredible.
He also played the sax solo on the Eagles' "The Long Run."

The sax is good, but I just don't like that late 80s sound. They could insert it straight into the Breakfast Club or St. Elmo's fire.
And the sax solo doesn't show the range, tone control or diversity of Phil Kenzie.
