Trying to figure out how this works. 2 playoff spots open.
Team A&B are in the same division and finished 7-6.
Team B beat team A twice.
Team C is also 7-6 and has beat Team A&B once each.

Now from what I've read, in a h2h, teams have to have played each other the same number of times for this to work.

So I would figure it next goes to Points for.

But if I use that logic, that means Team A gets in over B&C, despite finishing behind Team B in its own division.

Team B and Team C should be in. Team A doesn't have a win against either.

But according to the ESPN site, a h2h tiebreaker cannot break a 3 way tie unless all teams have played each other the same number of times.

If y'all didn't change any of the settings, it's:

Points for
H2H
Whatever is after that

Additionally, beyond the top seed in both divisions, the 2/4 (4 team playoff/ 6 team playoff) other spots for the playoffs are wildcard positions.

Its changed to h2h, then points for, then intra division record.

This isn't for division winner, its for wildcard.

So using that logic, it sounds like h2h cannot be used, and I guess its possible that Team A (finished 3rd in division) goes to the playoffs over Team B (finished 2nd in division) and Team C (finished 2nd in their division)?
Correct?

Lol, yeah I know.

Thoughts on this quagmire?

Is division standings taken into account before wildcard tiebreakers are broken?
Otherwise Team B finishes 2nd in the division, Team A finishes 3rd, but makes it into the playoffs over Team B.
