Nebraska just fired Bo Pelini after he went 9-3 because they felt that he had peaked.
When will Alleva realize that CLM has peaked and it's time for a change.
If CLM decides to leave I wouldn't have a problem with Pelini. We haven't won a National Championship since he left. His resume is extremely better than CLM's when he was hired.

Make sure to watch what happens with Nebraska's job search and their performance as a result. I think they will regret it.

Learn? You already know how they will do with the new hire?

Absolutely. They should learn to not make head coaching contract terms so punitive to LSU that it's near impossible to make a change.

You are so.correct except you are to blind to see it. Nebraska fired Osborne because he couldn't beat Stoops in Okies peak time. In other words it came down to jealous impatient fans that have led the huskers to a ten years coaching search........sound familiar????????

If we're going to go with head coaches fired from other major programs, I'll go with Bobby Petrino.

Same petrino that blew a 21 point lead to FSU and just squeaked out a 4 point win at home vs kentucky?

But we were horrible in the 90's brah so twenty years later we have to compare everything to that and be happy we don't have a losing season and accept mediocrity

The level of Rantardary around here never disappoints. Let me be the first to suggest that not only are you an idiot but also that you should leap from the nearest bridge with great urgency, so as to spare us future stupidity.

You are an idiot. Pelini was a defensive coach (like Muschamp) who cannot lead the whole team. Neither Pelini nor Muschamp can coach on both sides of the field. Pelini never won a Big 10 title and never got in a BCS game. I can't believe you are even comparing Miles to Pelini. That just shows your lack of football knowledge. I hope you don't spout off your "knowledge" to other college football fans, thereby embarrassing real LSU fans.

Not analogous. No conference championships or national championship appearances. Lost to every ranked team they played the last 3 years. Not to mention this:

quote:

Audio tape leak Following a home game loss to UCLA Bruins on September 14, 2013, and shortly after responding to criticism from former Nebraska football player Tommie Frazier about the loss,[17] a two-year old audio tape with a profane tirade by Pelini[18] was anonymously leaked to Deadspin.[19] The recording was made following Nebraska's come-from-behind win against Ohio State in 2011, when it was reported that some students left when Nebraska was down 27-6 early in the 3rd quarter. The Huskers won 34-27. According to Deadspin, among the statements made on the audio recording, Pelini said:

Our crowd. What a bunch of fricking fair-weather fricking—they can all kiss my arse out the fricking door. 'Cause the day is fricking coming now. We'll see what they can do when I'm fricking gone. I'm so fricking pissed off.

And this:
quote:

On-field conduct Pelini's behavior was again called into question during Nebraska's nationally televised loss to the Iowa Hawkeyes at the end of the 2013 regular season. At halftime, the coach snapped at ESPN on ABC reporter Quint Kessenich when asked about a pair of Cornhusker turnovers, responding with "What kind of question is that?" Later, in disagreement with a call made on the field, Pelini swung his hat within inches of an official's face, drawing a 15-yard penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct.[34] Pelini remained defiant in the post game press conference, referring to his personal foul call as "chicken shite" and declaring, "If they want to fire me, go ahead…I don't apologize for anything I have done."[35] Pelini subsequently apologized for his behavior after the Iowa game.

Now that you mentioned it I can see the similarities.
