The excuses I hear:
"It's a judgment call." I'd rather someone make a judgment after watching a replay like the rest of America does.
"It would take too much time." I'd rather give up two minutes to save a game from being ruined by a horrible call.

What really needs to happen is they need to have one extra official on the field watching a live feed with replays. All of us can see the calls within 10 seconds thanks to the broadcast. Not that hard.

The problem with this is that penalties really happen on pretty much EVERY play. Holding and pass interference occur to varying degrees on literally almost every single passing play.

But all of us at home can see the glaring ones that are missed. Those are the ones that need to be called or not called.

This.

The only way I could see it working is if coaches could challenge a penalty like they can challenge a play. Perhaps give them a penalty challenge for each quarter, and if a coach challenges, he has to name a specific player or call. He cannot simply review a play and ask the referee to look for holding

Then why even have officials on the field. Just have some guy named Dave out there spotting the ball.

I like this. I'm just not buying the typical excuses. Find a way! The game is being ruined because officials eyes are not developing at the rate of athletic ability in America.

I think a coach should have one challenge for penalites per game

Very few penalties are not penalties. The problem is some are called in poor situations that appear ticky tacky
