Hell, AJ can run, and we got a 3-4 solid backs, why don't we just go all the way?

We had a QB go over 100yrds. We are there, but this was an A&M defense..Triple option would be something teams like Bama would feast on, with playing their Safeties up. It would be like LSU vs Georgia Tech...

Because the triple option is a gimmick that teams that can't field a talented team run. We have talent everywhere. We just suck at deploying it. If the coaches/QBs can't run our little league offense properly (including major ineptitude at the simple read option), imagine the degree to which they would frick up a triple option.

Disagree...only because not all teams would have a month to prepare for it. LSU was very successful against that Ga Tech team because of that added time. I think they would be less successful with only a week to prepare.

But to answer the OP...we don't have the personnel for a triple option. Our o line is not capable of that. And why should we? No chance of recruiting the caliber of players we have now if that switch were ever made.

Last nights offense sure did look like an option scheme to me.

They have had trouble with shitty triple option teams in the past. Besides, I'd hope it would be more spread option than the service academies

I have kind if wondered this before especially with the hoard of rb recruits Louisiana has every year. All AJ can really throw is the long ball which gets real easy with the entire secondary up on the line to stop the run.

We would have to change our name to GA Tech and play in Peach and Champs Sports Bowls all the time.
