This black firefighter should be fired and brought up on charges and go to prison for filing a false police report. The white cop should sue him for slander.
Unfortunately, we all know DAMN WELL that nothing will happen and this will all be swept under the carpet. Now, imagine if a white firefighter made false racist charges against a black cop.
Those po black innocent victims.....
But, I'm sure da Rev-uh-runds Al & Jesse will tell us that this never happens.

That news anchor looks like a Bush brother.

The FF was starting to run with the false narrative. If not for the camera, it might have taken on a life of its own.

Wow. Those two videos tell two different stories. I thought the cop was very professional and even apologized TWICE to the kids.

Extremely professional, especially his tone. Most cops would have just run up and been all GET ON THE GROUND FGT. Of course there were two young kids there, but he still handled it well.

Well, the firefighter didn't lie. It happened pretty much like he said. The only difference was that the firefighter thinks the cop stopped them simply because they were black... which obviously had nothing to do with it.
This is a case of a normal incident where the black guy wrongly makes it a race issue.

The firefighter didn't lie? Having your hand on your gun at the ready position is not even close to "about to pull the trigger". The firefighter claims he asked if his kids could put their hands down and tell them it's ok. Never happened. The cop tells the children it's alright...twice. a responsible father would tell his children that the officer doesn't know who we are and is doing his job.

he said he asked if his kids could put their arms down - lie (they were up for one minute 40 sec, btw - so abusive!)
he said there was no apology - lie
he painted a totally different picture of what really happened and completely mischaracterized the cop
I can relate to being frightened that way and having your kids scared etc, but taking it to the media and embellishing it that way is very fricked up
The two should have a drink together, the cop should show the kids his car and gear win them over, no need for all this animosity.

When going through 'what' happened, yes he was pretty close,
but when he started getting into the 'why', that's where the divergence began.

I know that's what I'm saying.

Yes, you did. I should have thought more about what you typed.

well if a black firefighter will bend the truth(some might say lie), think about what a thugpunkassbitch gangbanger might say to get the narrative over.

Let's not forget the white cops that are the forefathers of this egregrious trend of lying about their trangressions

No really. The problem is it's very rarely on camera.
It just happened to be on this time. Which most likely saved this cops job.
Firefighter should at the very least apologize for embellishing.
But that would mean he's not down for the cause so...

the ole republicans do it too, they're all the same excuse ....

The fireman was wrong, but how can we scold this man for a perception based in reality. Law enforcement isn't fair to blaxks and Latinos and never has been. So it is possible that the firefighter had a perceived notion about this incident.
When I got pulled over the other day, and the cops asked me if I had "guns" in the car, was that okay? Is he allowed to have a perceived conceived notion that because of my profile, that I will have x, y, and z?
No it is not. But if law enforcement is going to assume the worst about a particular group, how is it possibly the groups fault for assuming the worst about them?
Explain please

valid point, but it doesn't excuse lying after the perception has changed to reality, that's simply called bearing false witness or slander and the reason: he was white

Sure it was. Last time I was pulled over I was asked if I had a gun and drugs, by a white cop.
I assume you're the type that gets bent out of shape when stopped at a sobriety checkpoint and gets asked if you've been drinking.
