Looking at the Brown case, there could not have been a more lopsided case (of this sort) for the African Americans to go after.

Its obvious that they are trying to bring attention to something with these cases but this was not the case to do that with

The evidence was about as strong against Brown as possible. The eyewitnesses were numerous. The Brown family is just a list of steryotypes too numerous to mention. The video from his robbery, the video of his mom and step father video after the decision.

At this point, the instigators of this circus act have to look at this case and wish they would have just let it go. The case in general was a slam dunk.

Bad move by the black leaders. Whoever they are.

You nailed it. I mean look at this tragic case in Cleveland of cops shooting a frickin 12 year old. That's basically indefensible and I have been pro-Wilson since day 1. But there's not going to be the same outcry over that case because everybody's worn out on it thanks to big Mike Brown.

The optics were great. Could not have asked for a better case.

The facts? Well, not so much. Complete opposite end of the spectrum.

And it is "hitched" to the wagon bro.

Even if they had the resources, who would want to get back on the wagon right now? This case will set back relations years. It shed more of a dark cloud over the black community than ever. People who were on the fence with race relations, are now on the white side. The thuggish, aggressive nature of the brown family and people supporting them along with the absolute incompetence of their representation and supporters made them all look foolish.

hook -----> hitch

Why not focus their energy on the countless black on black crimes that occur in Urban America on a daily basis? Why would they let facts get in the way of their destruction of their own town? Why would they continue to blame Whitey for holding them down when they are the ones to blame for the beastality? Why didn't we see riots and looting when OJ was acquitted?

It's a damn shame several business owners didn't take heads off of ones that broke into stores this week via AR-15's with high capacity magazines.

The video of the "kid" stealing the cigars really tells all that needs to be told. The black community has been asking for days why the cop was so "scared" of Brown and why are cops concerned about the aggressiveness of young blacks.

Ask that store owner

Optics and narrative. It does not fit their agenda or message. And that is the sad part. Would rather create faux outrage over a petty criminal who "kept it real" than champion a cause that will truly make a difference in their communities.

The reason Mike Brown was
So easy to go after is there is no video of any kind that goes with it. Had there been any kind of video that could have shown an argument, the pro-looters would not have gotten so upity about this one.

And yes, I think the cleveland kid is the case to go after but it won't get the same coverage

Do we know the facts of this case? Or just a video and snap judgement?

Yeah I'm not sure how cops are supposed to handle that situation.

He's 12, so we'll just expect them to put their life on the line and hope for the best? It's a tough situation.

I can think of situations where it would be a lot more controversial, say, an 11 or 12 year old charges cops with a knife. But you pull up and someone with a "gun" reaches for it when you're just feet from them? Not a lot of alternatives.

I don't honestly know the details of that case. But a bullet comes out of a barrel the same. No matter who pulls the trigger

This. Sympathy is in short supply after people burned buildings for that thug in Ferguson.

12% of the population sure gets a lot of attention.

Agree. But when that 12% is constantly looking and asking for special attention, and get it, its a big deal

When I look at this situation, it really is a case of just keep throwing darts and hope one sticks
