Yes. You will meet more girls and develop lifelong friendships and future business connections. Win win win
this, i regret not going through. At the time, I thought it was cool not to be going through.

Only maybe 20% of the student body is Greek so there is understandably some misguided jealousy from the 80%.
We typically pay no attention to the snarky comments from the rabble. It all rolls off like water on a duck's back
Speaking of ducks, you will need a 4 wheel drive with DU stickers if you are going to frat hard. Preferably a jeep.
Once you have the basics covered and can comfortably be different enough to fit in, welcome.
Greek life is the overall total best experience you can have at LSU. Pledge ships have been shortened to 8-10 weeks then you are an active and the little bit of crap is over. The crap is simply learning the history of your chosen fraternity & the names of the actives. Easy Peazy. Now it's party time and your parents are paying.
Best deal in town.
But never think you are paying for your friends. That is simply not true. As yellowfin (fin) says, you are paying to not be around the 80%.
You will make friends for life and immediately have a welcome place on campus.
If all that sounds great, sign up for rush in May and enjoy the experience.

Yep, me too. All my buddies joined frats and I took a year off and joined the military. Said I wasn't gonna join the frat when I got out of boot camp cause I didn't feel like beating the shite out of a buddy of mine for trying to treat me like a pledge haha. Still go to the parties and shite. Just don't have to pay the dues.

You don't join them, boss. They select you. Backchanneling right now to make sure you get no bids.

And this is why I pledged with GDI/Phi Zappa Krappa. I felt the arrogance of the collective group just wasn't worth the effort to hang out with my friends who were already in. I made the right decision for me. YMMV...

Unless you want to look like a cookie cutter cutout that just came off an assembly line, then no. All of those dudes look exactly alike to me.

Only if you like elephant walks and anal sex and spooning with your bros.

Can you get women on your own or do you need them to be drugged?

Only on the internet can TigerLee masquerade as an affluent, upper crust gentleman while simultaneously proving he's a racist, dirt-eating farmboy from podunk North Louisiana who wears tattered overalls to work each day.
