Another way to look at it, how many other times has 2 or 3 losses won the secc?

I'll be dead before that occurs again, for sure.

UGA did it in 2005, followed by us in 2007. Unless you're planning on dying soon, I wouldn't be so certain you won't see it again in your lifetime. It could happen this year.

In the last nine years, the SECw has been won with 2 conference losses only once.

In fact, the breakdown is like this:
0 losses : 44.4%
1 loss : 44.4%
2 losses : 11%

SO a 2 loss SECw winner looks like about once every decade, or worse, under the current SEC. FOr example, since 2008, 1 loss teams have only won the SECw twice. Every other time they have been undefeated.

Two losses is reasonable, but three would take a minor miracle. I think.

Bama won the west in 2002 with two losses. So let's say its' twice every 12 years instead of once a decade.

I chose 2005 as my starting point, due to Les Miles.

To think the SEC now is the same as then is wrong.

See my link on page 2 to another analysis.

Going forward 2 is more rare and undefeated or 1 loss appears to be the norm.

Too bad you can't use this logic in several other threads.

He's entitled to whatever opinion he wants. How else are we to pass the time before the holiday break from work starts?

The facts are LM has won 3 already despite what your statistics say. Your opinion is he won't likely win another.

BTW statistics become flawed when you have an end in mind already.

And true to form it turns immature when it begins to break down.

This is why LSU fans should be the biggest proponents of an 8 or more team playoff. If not we will rarely if ever have a chance for a title

his first year with a dumpster fire of a team and in 2011 where he embarrassed LSU and Les in new orleans?

yeah, good points.

The problem is BAMA--they are BAMA and are in Miles head--more ways than 1. He can not beat BAMA that is a given. Auburn is good they will beat LSU until Miles is gone or less likely becomes Les stubborn. Arky will be real good next year. Ole Miss is Ole Miss. Miss State will be OK. Possibly a repeat of this year. Likely last finish in SEC West. What will that do for fans of CLM to finish last in SEC west 2 years in a row?

To original question: yes, a 2 loss team can win the SEC. LSU has done it, Georgia has done it, it can happen this season (as noted already). Considering Alabama SHOULD have lost here, to LSU, and also should have at Arkansas, I'd say we're likely to see it again; and soon.
Can Les Miles win it (again) seems to be the question implied, and I'd say yes to that also. As noted, he's won 3 in 10 seasons, including in the midst of Alabama's great run, with a win in Tuscaloosa that year.
