Is Fat Harry's Uptown still up and going? I remember there being a fire there or something a while back. I watched a few games there back in the day.

Man, Cooter Browns is a shite show. Their service sucks. The bar tender and food servers are rude as frick.

Jethro (my turkey, which is 23.1 lbs) has been in a brine since last night.
I was planning on putting him in the smoker at top heat with apple wood chips at midnight tonight.
I'm going to soak some cheese cloth in butter and cover him, so he doesn't get too black.
I had planned on basting him with butter every hour or so.
I'm open to finishing him in the oven if necessary.
I know my ex fiancé didn't finish his in the oven and he made the BEST turkey (seriously, it's why I said yes), but it may not have been as large as this one.
He would be smoking for about 12 hours.

Yea I was there last night in Br and if Nola spot is similar, it's very conducive to a sports bar atmosphere for a big game.

Bruno's is a college bar, as is Madigan's but the college crowd won't be there so they are definitely options. I'd pick Madigan's if it's sunny out. Bayou Beer Garden is also cool but their tvs suck.
