employees: if you get sick during vacation, can you mark time as sick?

Not going to work tomorrow, but starting to feel like crap
I have fully paid sick days, so how i classify day off doesnt really matter. My company is cool about things like that though
Just wish it would be a lump of paid days off to use as you please
Any of you work for hardasses that would make this scenario difficult?

I just texted Paige and asked her, I'll let you know. She got sick last year on that cruise she went on during her vacation.

There is no differentiation between sick days and vacation for us....it is called Paid Time Off (PTO) and we use all of it for whatever we want....

Holy crap no way. Unless you have PTO, as similar to someone mentioned, when you put in for vacation you can't magically switch to a sick day.

Same for us except it's called PL(personal leave).
We also have EL time(extended leave). We can only use that for FMLA approved stuff(maternity leave, out for surgery or injury, etc)

I can change from Annual to Sick Leave. Doing this week as we speak. Caught the damned flu last week. Stuff's a bitch. Yeah, took the flu shot a couple of months ago. Just caught a different strain.

Never had a job like that. Vacation taken is vacation, sick or not.
