From HuffPo circa 2010- GOP needs to take it down a notch

quote:

GOP leaders, desperate to regain power, know that the only energy in their party is from the farthest of the far right. So Republican National Committee Chair Michael Steele declares that he's the Original Teabagger (O.T.) and House Minority John Boehner whips up a frenzy warning that national Romneycare will beget Armageddon.

quote:

Wallowing in victimhood, some so-called conservatives make excuses that these are just the cries of an ignored majority. The liberal media is just highlighting a few bad apples. The Democrats brought this on themselves.

quote:

I don't know how the picture changes if serious violence occurs. My guess is that there will be revulsion for the far right and those who coddled extremism, though they'll quickly attempt to distance themselves from it.

America would catapult into a period of instability. Our moral standing in the world would decline. And we can't afford either of those scenarios.

Politics and public policy are serious business. Emotions run high. But both sides need to draw a line at threats, violence and bigotry.

As a country christened in violent revolution that later endured a bloody civil war, there is a history. Adams and Jefferson verbally crucified each other repeatedly, Brooks caned Sumner on the Senate floor over slavery and four presidents have been assassinated.

But the glorious thing about civilization is learning from the barbarism and fallacies of the past. Let's hope we do so before it's too late.

Kinda puts things in perspective doesn't it?

Civil unrest and any other kind of destabilization of the current social order is good for the Left.

The reason is because it allows the Left to argue that the current system is broken and needs to be replaced with something "new".

That something "new" is always a Leftist solution, usually in the form of Leftist authoritarian models of governance.

So, Ferguson violence benefits the American Left.

That's why the mass media will neither express outrage, nor will they denounce it -- they are in favor of Leftist solutions. Should the US ever adopt an authoritarian model of Leftist government, the current big players in the traditional mass media will be the State-sponsered media. The voices of dissent, which currently challenge traditional mass media, will be suppressed by Government.

So, THIS is why the "media bias" exists -- the End State is a business environment that is unchallenged, because FedGov will suppress the dissident media voices so that the State-sponsored media's message is unchallenged.

I just like how the Tea Party was supposed to foment all this violence and was the source of much hand-wringing on the left.

All of which came to naught.

Yes, that "message" was always nothing but pure ideologically driven agitation-propaganda designed to smear and discredit the political mortal enemies of the American Left -- The Tea Party.
