I just don't understand why any high profile defensive recruit would want to play for some of those teams, mainly Baylor or Texas A&M. Their offenses never have the ball for longer than 2 or 3 minutes at a time. You are on the feild alllll day. Even if they are extremely talented they will still give up points just by the nature of their styles of play. Meanwhile, if you are talented at LSU then you have a chance to be dominant on defense.

The same reason LSU gets offensive talent. College football recruiting is ALL about relationships and playing time. Sure it helps to be elite, but mainly it's about relationships with the staff and how early can they get on the field.
