Van Morrison at JF was a huge letdown
Terrible sound quality, and they did all the songs all quiet and jazz-y. And boring.
Disappointing because I grew up listening to so much Van since it's one of the few things my mom and dad both like

Yea, Bon Iver was painful.

You went to a Bon Iver show?

Vampire Weekend show in Seattle a few years back was a great show after they cancelled their part of a festival type show on 30 minutes notice months before. You could tell they were really trying to make up for bagging on the audience earlier that year.

Thats how portugal the man was in new orleans last year. I went to see them in 2012 and it was horrible. The drummer was wasted and quit on stage during the gig. In 2013, they brought the heat

Phish this year at Jazz Fest. It was the 1/9/12 of concerts.

Alabama Shakes at ACL 2012 - Most boring show I've ever seen.
WSP in Houston 2011 - Second most boring show I've seen.
Foxygen at Coachella 2014 - Singer took too many drugs
Muse in Atlanta 2013 - 3rd time seeing Muse and they mailed it in basically.
Black Keys in Atlanta 2013 - see Muse

Dr John at the Manship is probably mine... Very disappointing and I had seen him a few times. The band he had with him just wasn't jiving.
Going to see him in February in Houston. Hope it's a good performance.

See, I thought the Strokes were pretty good when they were at Jazz Fest a couple of years ago. But I had super low expectations. I figured they were the sort of band that was just too cool to try and put on a decent gig...they would just show up hung over as hell.

Deftones. Twice.
When did you see them? I heard they were a bit lackluster during the years between White Pony and Diamond Eyes.

That sucks because his performance at Mayhem Fest in The Woodlands last year was one of the more entertaining performances I have ever seen. His stage show was just one big party.

Korn honorable mention due to Davis' health.
They were really average when I saw them in Biloxi a few years ago. They just weren't the same band without Head and David Silveria.

The QOTSA concert really took me off guard. They seemed really apathetic and disinterested that night.
They were nails at @ Hangout this year.
re: Arctic Monkeys I saw them @ ACL in '07 and thought they were pretty damn good. Also from page 1 .. saw Bob Dylan at the same festival and yes he is terrible live in his old age.

You never know what you're going to get with Bob Dylan. I saw him with Paul Simon in Lafayette back in 99 and he was meh.
Then I saw him in NOLA at one of those night Jazz Fest concerts in the early 2000s and he was really great.

every country and western show, and unfortunately, I've been to too many ....

Gary Stewart (RIP) - appeared drunk and voice was incredibly weak. That's before he shot himself in the throat (dark, I know).
David Allen Coe - just awful all around.
Willie Nelson - seen him twice. One was actually pretty good, the other was extremely underwhelming.

They were bad. About 3/4s of the way through their set my wife asked me why the shitty opener was playing for so long.

I saw The Replacements at U of Houston in the 80's. They couldn't get through 2 songs they were so blitzed....walked off the stage. But I count that as a quintessential place mats show that I would never call lame.

I saw Incubus at Lollapalooza back when I was in college, and to be honest, they kind of sucked.
