Good day since he has declined 3 straight years, despite what he did in the post season. Giants can acquire Middlebrooks now

Yes more than likely, but Heyman isn't wrong that often when it comes to contracts is he?

Oh I expect he's right, but giants beat writers are saying that they've bumped their bid to 100m and aren't conceding he's going to BOS.

After Dan harren to the cubs that was 2 years ago I just enjoy throwing cold water on everyone's fun before the agents say go.

Giants would be crazy to pay 100m for Panda, the Cain deal isn't looking so hot right now

a lot of cash for a guy who's build will continue to break his body down.

But then again, if there are teams out there who can afford these contracts(win-Lose), it's Boston, NYY, Dodgers, and Angels.

yea i agree. At least on an AL team you can hide him at DH if his body breaks down. But they offered 95...whats another 5 million between friends.

How very Red Sox of of them. $190MM to a 31 year old oft-injured half asser and Carlos Lee's twin brother. And still haven't done anything about their shitty rotation.

They will get Lester and flip some assets for a quality #2.

They don't want to deal Bradley/Bogarts so their options a Middlebrooks and Yoenis, they are not getting a #2 for those pieces unless they eat some salary.

Bradley isn't protected at all. I think they will trade Yeonis to a power starved team and eat some salary/part with prospects. The only untouchables are Bogarts, Betts, and Swihart.

Yeonis isn't good enough to get a #2/3

They will have to part with someone, maybe Raunado and 1 more prospect to a team and obtain Wade Miley?

Red Sox and Yankees are one in the same. Overpay with long-term contracts for big names past their primes.

Neither of these contracts look that bad to me. This will be a stacked lineup especially if Betts and Bogarets take leaps, and I'm sure they aren't done making moves.

The people running the Red Sox are very smart. Not saying these deals are guarenteed to work out, but they know what they are doing.
