Are you incapable of having an intelligent discussion on this?

It's really mystifying. I've seen some dumb shite in over 10 years on this site. The way people are re-writing history concerning our offense last year, even in the face of stats that go against their argument, is up there with the stupidest.

"INNOVATIVE STATS" the name says it all. Yet somehow we sucked at basic stats that everyone uses. Stats like, total yardage gained or points scored. How do you reconcile that?

traditional stats don't tell he whole story.

total yards gained is great, but we were 15th in available yards gained. you can't get as many yards if you start on the 40 every time, as you can if you start on the 80.

We play a field position oriented game, which gives us the short field more often than not. Thats a good thing for US, but for out stat line.

We need spectacular talent to finish fifth.

In the meantime, the four above us all ran significantly more balanced offenses... with less NFL talent.

I eagerly await your report on the other nine years of Les's tenure.

No one is saying we've been an offensive juggernaut over the last 10 years. This thread is in response to the litany of "HOW COME WE AINT WON NOTHIN WITH ALL THAT TALENT LAST YERA" posts in order to illustrate that the offense was the least of our worries.

I don't even mind valid criticism. I didn't like giving the ball to the fullback as much as we did last year.

We also went 5 wide last year on 1st down in some situations though. People act like we just ran the toss dive every play

Why would I do that?

You need to become more informed. Are you trying to say that A&M hasn't had elite offensive talent?

I'd trade a great NFL RB for a 1st round tackle any day

his is a nice melt after being shown to be an imbecile in the other thread concerning lsu's efficiency last season.

I'm just trying to show you even though that offense was great, it wasn't even tops in college football.

Also, ITS A frickING ANOMALY. You are using 1 year out of 10 in the Les Miles tenure to pump sunshine up our asses. As the fella above me has stated.

It was one of the top offenses in CFB and certainly wasn't an issue. I'd be interested to see those numbers without the bowl game

It did not underachieve.

Well you had commented directly on that one year. We changed our offensive coordinator b/c it wasn't effective.

So with the current OC, we've had 1 great year with vet talent, and 1 terrible year with young talent

No one is talking about the other years except last year in this thread. Are you that fricking miserable where you cant discuss and talk the offense successes of last year without vaginally bleeding all over the thread about other years just to prove some dumbass point?
