Couldn't agree more, if you don't like what you see voice your opinion. At the end of the day the only one your opinion matters to is yourself but at least people know how you feel.

My post was not a bash on Jennings, in fact I truly believe Anthony Jennings is the type of player we need at LSU with his work habits and the way he carries himself on and off the field. I truly want Jennings to succeed both on the football field and in life. That being said if something isn't working, it needs to be fixed. I blame our QB woes on the coaching because they are supposed to have the talent to coach!!!

Truth is its recruiting that has partly lead us to where we are. Way too many top LA talents we've missed on littering other teams' rosters. Couple that with no qb and a lack of depth in the trenches and here you are

That hasn't been one of my problems. Two bannings attest to that.

From all accounts, he is a great kid who really works hard to succeed. We will never know whether a good coaching staff could have developed him into a good player. He certainly showed flashes.

The Bama guys can keep posting this as long as they want. I love they circle jerk together, thus leaving their women open for easy pickings

If you think the fans that are cranking out thread after thread shitting on the team are on the right side of fandom then you are a moron.

So it's the ones who think a coaching staff that has proven year after year that it can't get the job done should remain that are on the "right side of fandom"? Interesting. Curley Hallman had his fans, too, and I'd bet you were one of them (or would have been, if you weren't old enough then to have had an opinion). But one thing is for sure. They were Curley Hallman fans, NOT LSU fans. They hated LSU and wanted what was best for Curley Hallman, while not giving a shite what was best for LSU.

I don't agree with that statement if you look at the recruiting rankings for LSU the past 4 yrs, but for the sake of argument let's go with what you stated. Then where does the blame land for that? Squarely on the coaches!

quote:

Jennings was a 4 star QB coming out of high school ranked the 6th best dual threat in the COUNTRY and Harris was also a 4 star and 5th best dual threat in the COUNTRY. That is not even including Retting. So saying we don't have decent QB's is not accurate statement, saying they have not been coached up to their projected potential is probably more accurate.

Depth in the trenches is probably one of our strengths.

people say that, but the ones we have missed wouldn't have fixed this problem.

the really good defensive ones would have helped, but it isn't like out defense is hurting.

And honestly there are no offensive recruits that could fix this mess. There hasn't been a great Louisiana QB in years. Dak went to MSU because he fits that system very well, and that system requires a very unique QB.

If you ask the QB guru "George Whitfield" he says that Brandon Harris is the one! I do realize that Harris while being a student of Whitfield's paid him money to teach him so there is always that "he is being paid to say that" argument. But I truly believe Whitfield feels that Harris is the next great LSU QB. The problem is - Coach Miles!!!! - he has to play to prove it!

I think a QB in year 1 and year 2 of a system is when you see the most growth.

Which is why i am totally willing go give on on jennings.

Oh, I see. So anyone who criticizes the coaches isn't a "real fan." I love people like you. You think your fan loyalty is akin to some kind of military service, and I guess you expect people to just bend over and accept mediocrity without question. Next you'll tell me that I should be happy because it's not as bad as it was in the 90's, right? Like this and that are LSU's only options. If that's where you've set the bar, you're pretty sad.

Sometimes I think people like you are just fans of other teams, trying to convince us to keep Miles here forever.

Ok if that is the case, I won't argue with you there. Jennings is finishing his 2nd season in the system and he is progressively getting worse, just look at the stats. I am really pulling for the kid because as I stated earlier we need more players at LSU with his kind of work ethic and how he handles himself both on and off the field. But his play is not improving it is regressing, if there was improvement then I would say stick with him but since he is actually regressing over the past 2 games giving BH 50% of the snaps just seems like a prudent thing to do right now.

Schedule is shaping up nicely next year for us to be right back in the thick of things.

I agree. We started this season with major concerns at DT and now, pretty much at the end of the season, that spot looks very good for next season.

The OL will need some tweaking with Collins and Porter leaving, potentially Alexander.

I'd just like to see Harris get some meaningful playing time now. Not at the beginning of next season.

You know what you've got with Jennings, not dumping on him at all, but he's progressed very little from last year's bowl game to now.

See what you've got with Harris now. Now that there's (basically) little to lose.

I guess we'll all see soon enough.
