Prepare to get bombarded with pumper's cries of "every team has down years", "winningest coach in LSU history", "nice guy and family man', and the classic "who else are we gonna get?"

1 is true
2 is ture
3 no one says that as a reason to hire him, just when people call him an egomaniac who doesn't care about his players.'
4. its less of a "who else are we gonna get, and we have a much greater chance of getting a worse or equal coach than we do getting a better one.

No. Because you just have to remember what it was like before LSU hired Saban. Just remember that, and thats the key to all things LSU. If you just remembered the 90s, then all is well and Les Miles is good coacher guy.

I'm a Miles supporter for the work he has done. Having said that and LSU ends up 7-6, I believe his seat should get a bit warm. Depending on what happens next year obviously, but two years in a row at or under 8 wins should warm it up considerably. I'm not a coach, but their are issues that concern me at this point.

I know many Michigan fans. They all would kill to have Miles go to Michigan next year.

His rep has taken a pretty big hit this year.

if we lose this next game, and the bowl game, then i think the pressure is definitely on.

That being said, I am willing to see how these last two games , and next season goes.

If you win a championship, you get a year to right the ship.

I think if LSU loses to A&M the bowl game will be virtually a rent a win.

No matter what happens he'll have next year to win back those he's lost.

It should have been on fire after 1/9 when he got absolutely exposed at the seams.

Next year there must be improvement or else I'd say he needs to step down.

Not only shouldn't CLM be on hot seat, he deserves an extension for one of the best coaching seasons of his career

Season ticket buyer? Did you watch Ark game last week?

not at all.

If not what if the teams struggles continue next year.
2 straight years of 7-5 will result in a little heat, but still will be entirely his decision. If he leaves, it will be because the kids have all moved out, he no longer wants/needs to keep an elderly family member in a warm Southern climate, Michigan makes the right offer, and he's tired of our bitch-arse fanbase. Oh, and maybe he wants to give Urban some more health issues

Keep in mind there's nothing to indicate LSU will have a bad year next year. Miles has been excellent at keeping the program focused under stress his entire career here, the team will return basically intact and is building towards a run towards a title in 2 yrs (maybe next year too), and he keeps the right perspective on things. Every other contender in the West will take a step backwards.

He's safe, and LSU will be fine

Yes, you're right. Any coach who makes it to the national title game and doesn't win should be fired immediately.

Yeah he would leave $5M gig because we hurt his feelings a bit, this is ridiculous. But really the only factor is season ticket sales; if they fall the seat gets warm!

It should but we are LSU, we don't expect or demand quality.

A title in 2016? Who's going to play LB? Beckwith will be gone, I promise. Maybe Clifton Garrett will be good and the Curtis kid seems to be a gamer. The Karr kid seemed like a reach last year, but maybe he'll turnout okay. We're not recruiting enough LBs, and we'll end up having to play guys who aren't ready.

The secondary will be young, too. You need about eight guys at DB. Just like at LB, we'll need almost every guy to pan out just to have a good first string.

Next year is our big opportunity. Oline is our only concern IF the QBs perform. And my iPad doesn't have big enough capital letters for that IF.

Not sure the Carr faction doesnt still have enough atroke to prevent it still. Doubt it happens but if they get to option #4 then they may get desperate abd eat some pride and approach him. The fanbase is really not happy and if they pass in Miles like they did the first two times and end up hiring again in 4 years it could really go bad. I think prob Schiano gets the job but to he honest Les, other than Harbaugh, would be the perfect splash hire with UM Man title they hold so dear. Also, i think he jumps at it if they seriously approach him and guarantee the meddling by the Carr faction will not occur (ie high buyout like here).
