I searched and I saw a lot of mixed reviews on here.

I'm going tonight for the first time. Any recommendations on what to get / not to get? Any specialty drinks worth trying?

I liked it. Tacos are good and you can mix and match. I think some people on this board expected it to be a world-class restaurant or something.

I think it's damn good for what it is. Laid back atmosphere, good food, good drinks. Go and have a good time.

Food snobs here will tell you otherwise but they don't like anything.

I really enjoyed what I got food wise. I forgot what it was called but it was a mix of different seafood and vegetables. I did the extra spicy option, which had a lot of flavor. But I had a dark n stormy (my favorite drink) and it was not very good.

Thanks, everyone.

I'm sure I'll find something that I like to eat. And I like Rum, so there's that.

I noticed that and I got there when they first opened. People drive full size trucks in these parts and your other options involve getting towed.

I just got home. The food was good. Not excellent, but good. I had the Carolina taco and the fried mahi mahi taco.

3 painkillers later, and I'm very tipsy. The place was packed! I will go back. It's a great place to drink and talk for a first date.

Thanks, everyone.

I know I enjoyed it and I will be back.

I like mixed drinks and they definitely have some good ones. I think I had 2 or 3 too many last night though. I had 3 painkillers, 2 strawberry mango margaritas, and the chocolate milkshake-looking one for desert.

The food was pretty good as well. They were packed so we ate and drank at the bar. It's definitely a place that I will suggest to my co workers next time we go to happy hour.

I was actually there last night as well. Most of the food is average, but the nachos are incredible and they are huge. Me and my girlfriend went, got drinks, and shared the nachos. We didn't even come close to finishing them. We try to go for happy hour every now and then because our entire bill is less than $20 most of the time. If you go with like 2 other coworkers for happy hour than the 3 of you can easily make a meal out of the nachos.

Would probably taste good if the food came out hot.

Been there 6ish times now, and during none of them have I received hot tacos.

My only guess is that they have it set up like a Subway back there, and they just make tacos from ingredients that have been sitting.

Some of the tacos would be pretty good if hot, like the Calypso.

I agree. Has been my experience every time I've gone.

If you go for Taco Tuesday, you can try the tacos at a much reduced price.

My wife and I went Thursday, around happy hour. It's really nice to sit outside and listen to the music, have a few drinks, and some decent food.

We like the guacamole app. And we always get a few tacos too. The nachos are good, but not spectacular, and really filling.

I'm so glad people like you post here.
Can't have people with views outside of the norm or anything like that making comments. Wouldn't want to offend you kind.

With $2 pints AND $2 tacos, I don't mind going on Tuesdays at all.

I also had the Cuban sandwich recently, and it was good. Place isn't great, but it's not inedible.

I like me a good Cuban sandwich. I'll have to try it. I just won't count the crawfish on it.

The ceviche tacos are the best thing on the menu. The nachos are on-point, too. And, of course, they have some tasty mixed drinks. I usually get the ceviche tacos and a few drinks and I'm good to go. They usually have some good-looking clientele for happy hour.
