ESPN Boston's Mike Reiss reports Jonas Gray was not permitted to practice on Friday because he showed up late to the Patriots' facility. Uh oh. The Patriots are a zero-tolerance team when it comes to matters like this, and for as great as Gray was in fantasy football last week, he is a replaceable player. That is especially the case after New England signed LeGarrette Blount to a two-year deal on Thursday. Gray's usage for Week 12 against the Lions is now entirely uncertain. Blount could steal his role.

Looks like my flex decision might become a little easier.

I refuse to depend on a Patriot RB unless in dire situation

Well Gray is done for the season. Glad I picked up Blount for the playoff push.

Let's wait till Sunday to see who's starting before we make a big deal out of this. Either way Vereen is the guy that should get the most touches out the backfield in this one. Lions D-Line is tough to run on. A lot of swing passes and screen

Yeah it will prob be Vereen this week but glad I won't be depending on the weekly guessing game.

I think he's saying you can't predict the Patriots backfield

Blount may be trouble, and I wouldn't start him right now, but he certainly doesn't suck. He averages 4.6 YPC on his career.

Umm, tell that to the 7TDs he scored last year as a Patriot.

lol wut

I'm sayings he's not fat and he doesn't suck. I wouldn't start him every week, but he's certainly capable of being the workhorse. I wouldn't even start Gray every week even if Blount wasn't there

After watching that video of Bill diagramming his blocking schemes, i
Think I could have scored 7td's running through those holes.

What does me disagreeing with your assumption that Blount is a lazy person have to do with me starting him? I wouldn't start him, but he's definitely going to out produce his yardage to date in New England. And he isn't "lazy", as you can see from his hard running last year. LBell is a MUCH better fit in Pitt's run blocking scheme than Blount. Blount is obviously better in Belichek's.
