I brought this up the other day. Are you talking about when he just hacks in the rough and knocks it in the water? Then he and homeless caddie throw rocks in it? That was on the front nine I believe. He then talks to Grandma, she wants him to be happy, he hallucinates and sees Chubbs (who got his hand back and is a phenomenal piano player with both hands in the air), then wrecks on the back nine.

Did Chubbs have a contract?
Why did he invest so much time in helping Happy only for Happy to basically kill him?
Happy put his grandma in Hell, killed Chubbs, probably stiffed everyone financially and then stole Shooter's year on the tour.
It's plausible that Happy is just that lucky loser who doesn't deserve any of his rewards.
