A few of us are going to Scotlandville for a playoff football game tonight. Iv been hearing some bad stuff about the neighborhood. How bad is it, should I come packing or is it just bullshite.

you better hope your team loses or you wont be leaving.

i'm just kidding, i have no idea where that is. it just seems like the right answer based on the question.

Go Packing, stay in groups, stay in well lit areas, ect. Scotlandville is pretty damn rough.

Wear a black #justicefortrayvon hoodie and you'll be just fine. No need to pack...actually, on second thought, pack.

It is just off the intestate, that is slightly helpful in a quick get away if the car is still there...

At Scotlandville High School? It's right off the interstate, so it's not deep into the bad zone. I used to teach there, but I wasn't usually there after dark.

"Packing" on a high school campus would probably not be a good idea. I wouldn't leave any valuables in sight though.

Packing heat at a high school where all attendees go through a metal detector sounds incredibly smart.

Wear a costume that may head off any problems before they occur. I'd suggest dressing as a job.

It has been a while since I have been to a HS game in BR, but never had problems nor heard of problems for visiting fans.

Usually they had good fan bases.

Also, you'll be down the street from a sheriff's office substation and the facility will have an active police presence.

You'll be fine alone.

I've been to Karr games in Nola multiple times and never had any problems. The key is to not look scared and stay in groups. Some of the urban youth can cause problems and they tend to go for the weaker looking prey, i.e. scared lonely white guy.
