Obama has a plan for immigration and its rotten but the GOP needs to get off its heels. No, you don't play the Presidents game by talking crazy, shutting down government or trying to impeach Obama.

You send a bill that secures the border. Create a debate where Obama must choose to either veto securing the border or hold his nose and sign the law. You can put language in the law saying it's his constitutional duty to uphold the law and by failing to enforce the law is refusing to live up to his sworn oath.

The idea is to shame and embarrass Obama by flipping the script. Force him into something he doesn't want to sign but has too. The GOP needs an immigration strategy and being mad isn't one, nor is cutting down Hispanics. Present the best damn border security this country has ever seen. If you want border security then you have the president by the balls, now.

I believe the House has already passed a bill on border security; however, the Senate and Obama don't want to play ball.

Republicans - Increase Border Security and deport people back to their home countries. We have a legal way to citizenship.

Democrats - Just let everyone in and don't enforce the law

You are certainly a rube aren't you?

I guess you're one of the ones that has bitten the apple of the lushes that something actually needs to be done? Classic Dems...cry and whine for 5 yrs, create a problem with a minority voting block, jerk off bleeding hearts, blame R's when nothing happens.

We have freaking immigration laws!!!! All they have to do is enforce em.

A house painting company cannot find reliable painters at anything approaching a reasonable cost.
One of its employees knows of 20 men from Veracruz who are experienced, outstanding painters. How does he get them here?

How do we mesh the need for labor with current bullshite American migrant-worker (immigration) law?
E.g., The agricultural industry requires thousands and thousands of migrant workers annually. Meanwhile US Consular Affairs only hands out a few hundred Ag work visas.
It is stupidity on a grand scale.

Well then fix that instead of doing this shite which is obviously geared toward eventually getting a lot more malleable ignorant voters.

Why would they introduce anything before they take control of the Senate?

Just like with any pouting child
I'd act like Obama just did nothing
With ya on the flip the script thinking

Pass laws that will help all Americans 1st. I'm talking flooding Obama's desk with all kinds of passed laws that we need to get things back of track. Keep him busy because it's past time he starts governing. I'd return the bad taste favors too and give Obama things he hates that's tough to explain a veto action. Then right before 2016, I'd sing to the moon about the new immigration bill put together in the House and Senate. Not giving Obama what he wants would bother him to no end and actually do your party a favor too, I think.

Maybe start things off with this 1st though. I'd pass legislation for gays to have the same rights has every other married couple. If Obama wants to try and head off credit with legislation with acts like tonight. I'd do the same with many more Democratic social issues too. Just take has many issues that can be use against you in 2016 off the table. This way we all debate the things that are going to help or sink this country financially. I now it's extreme but extreme actions take extreme measures.....lol

I'd find ways of branding “MY MESSAGE” better. The GOP complains too much and if they’d take the time to stop complaining and do something. The Republicans might sweep President Elections to right now. Because I think most people agree with many Republican policy wise but are afraid of their social stances. Seems it would be a smart strategy to take all that off the table, their going lose this battle anyways. Why not on your terms and if the GOP needs something. It’s a better imagine with compassionate policy. If the GOP plays let be hard on social issues now, they will lose in 2016.

Oh yeah, I’d also try bills that put the Dems in a rock and hard place. I would make the president have a conflict of interest with Bills and exposes the double playing standards these parties do. If the President want War, I guess you give it to him in smart methodical ways. Overreaction like shutting things down would be bad be a bad thing for the republicans

Boy, let me go wash off this stink after talking such mean politics. Dang politics is a shameful game where one could probably loses their soul. Enough with my scatter thoughts….

we have more people not working than at any point in history. Is it because we have an influx of migrant workers willing to work for pennies on the dollar, while the government pays people more than minimum wage to stay home.

If we had fewer illegals here the cost of wages would have to increase to get people off the gov teat. As a result the cost of goods and services would increase, but an added result would be fewer Americans on the teat who would also be paying taxes.

Gonna be funny when the GOP has both houses soon and still has no plan and does nothing.

Sorta mind boggling how truly useless they are.

Didn't the House pass a border security bill in August? Then the Senate never voted on it. Obama said he would veto it.

Border security before you even consider immigration reform.

Just wait. You guys know I'm right and they will do absolutely nothing. Probably pass a terribly hyperpartisian Bill here and there. That's it.

How is border security and enforcing the current laws regarding illegals in this country a partisan issue?

This is the issue.

I don't think so.

I think we have some stupid arse laws. I won't congress to change them. I think the current GOP is historically worthless, useless and more focused by far on being anti Obama than doing their job. I think they are a joke.

I'm not pro dem. Over the last few years I have just become aGOP hater.

Here's a thought. How about enforcing the laws on the books.

The Left governs by faux crisis. There is no broken immigration system.

Instead we have a party of power hungry people, whose only mission in life is to obtain power and hold on to it.

Obama just sealed in a whole bunch of new voters for the Democrat Party.
