It's a shame that this film isn't playing in every theater in the country. I urge everyone to see this if they get the chance.

Currently at 96/96 on Rotten Tomatoes.

It is incredibly intense. LINK

J.K. Simmons will probably win Best Supporting Actor with this performance.

We have long threads for Gone Girl and Interstellar, but this one is just as worth seeing.

This and Birdman are the two best films of the year.

Gonna check it out this weekend. Finally made its way to the cheap theater a couple blocks away from my house.

Doesn't look like anything special to me. Then again I dont usually like those "created at so and so festival" type of movies.

I guess I just have bad taste

The preview didn't sell me. It was the RT score and a couple of people on this board. Glad I saw it.

Looks like a white boy's version of Drumline. And I'm OK with that.

I thought this board hated everything Miles Teller

I hope Simmons finally gets the recognition he deserves. Dude is awesome.

Miles Teller

He was really good (although a similar character) in The Spectacular Now. Had a lot more depth than usual. This role was his best yet though.

I've now seen it twice for the final scene alone.

Right there with Under the Skin & Only Lovers left alive as one if my favorites from the year.

Just saw it again. Just as good the second time. Really hope it gets a Best Picture Nomination and that Chazelle gets nominated.

Saw it early in November and am so glad I did. Awesome movie. Teller and Simmons were great. It's a must see.
