You're probably right, though JH may have broken it last year if not for the suspension.

no, at this point Charlie A is like Jim Brown compared to LF

Alexander the Great averaged 2.8 yards his freshmen season.

So i think whatever you are trying to say with that is wrong.

Sorry but the game is different now... And NO LF will NOT break any records playing under RB by committee Miles........

Assuming that Fournette remains healthy will he eventually surpass Charles Alexander's record at LSU
Not if we give more carries to the 4th string, true freshman tailback instead of the #1 recruit in the nation and proven pain train.

No, but does the other guy have something AGAINST Leonard Fournette.
I think it is dumb to say LF will never be better than alexander when LF is only a freshmen.

Yeah people run less and leave after three years.

if Jeremy hill doesn't miss the first game and half who know what he does last year.

But you are right, he isn't going to get 300 carries like Alexander had when he set the single season record, but then again he may not need it.

Kevin Faulk broke Dalton Hilliard's rushing record. Charles Alexander is 3rd all time. Alexander's yards came against the rent-a-win opponents

But he won't. He will be here 3 years MAX. And even as a jr. I don't think he will even be as good as Hill. IMO....

Classic PEEJ. No actual point to make. Derives random bullshite from everyone's posts that isn't actually there. Gets backed into a corner and starts to lash out because someone is younger than him. Keep up the good work, buddy.

LF would need to be used like Charles Alexander. Talent is there but realization of potential will be cut short by playing time and when LF enters the draft

compared to the 1970s yeah

Alexander's sophmore year he had more carries than the team had passes, total.
And he was the second leading rusher.

his junior year he had over 100 more carries than the team had total passes

Jeremy Hill had 108 less carries, and 285 less yards. If he was given the same number of carries he would have only needed to average 2.6 yards a carry to equal Alexanders single season mark.

you give Jeremy Hill 311 and he gets 2145 yards.

At his average at the end of the year he would have needed 42 break the record.

If you took a whole yard off his average and brought it down to 5.9 ypc and gave him 311 carries he would have averaged 1834.9 yards

Charles Alexander was an LSU great, but don't give me shite because Jeremy Hill was also an LSU great.

DUDE...Dalton Hilliard was a WAY better back as LF as a freshman... If you don't know this.OU are a fool... AND Charlie was a different type of back compared to LF... Miles HAS to play LF cause he doesn't have anybody better??? Is Magee better than LF?? Is Hilliard better than LF??? Is Williams better than LF????

Freshmen Yards Per Carry

Faulk 4.9
Fournette 4.7
Hilliard 4.7
Alexander 2.8

I think we have good things ahead of us. Lets just be exited.

Umm, no not at all. LF isn't even close to Jeremy Hill level much less Alexander's.

The problem for comparisons is that this season was such a bust offensively with the absence of a passing game. Hell, Jim Brown couldn't have gotten a 1000 yds on this squad.
