The issue at hand isn't the defense.

The issue is the lack of QB development and a terrible fricking offensive philosophy.

How many time has this coach been bailed out by his D or freak Special Teams plays??? More than I can count...

But we didn't. Hey we should have beat bama. Deerp moral victories. How is this not the same?

You can't say we should have lost a game then moan about a game we should have won.

That's my point. He counts the "near win" but ignores the "near loss". If he wants to start bragging about the Bama game, he has to accept the negatives of the UF game too.

This season has been a waste because we did nothing to develop our QBs or given any promising shot for next years offense. That is what frustrates people.

How has Bama done in their rebuilding years?? They have a new converted QB and a new OC, but they have managed to adapt their scheme to their QB and allow him to grow and progress throughout the season and will once again be playing for Nat Champ..

Yes, I compare us to Bama bc we are an elite program and should never been in the type of QB situations that we are currently in

If it wasn't for our defense none of those games would have been close IMO

That's genius, because without a defense the opponent would score on every drive.

LSU has lost 18 players early in the last two years. The other SIX teams in the SEC West have lost a combined 17 players. You can't win with those kind of numbers.

Yea we do. Alabama is in their "rebuilding year". Definiely a different way to interrupt "rebuilding".

Blaming young players when it is clearly the coaches and Les and his offense from 1970.

then all of a sudden without changing a damn thing our running game opened up and we won. Remember, we didnt change anything, we just wore them down

Wrong. We went to more wide formations to open up the middle and get their defenders out of the box. Also, they lost 2 starting D linemen that game.

Jeez.

So if you go 2-10, but beat two Top 10 teams, you'd think that's sweet???

You've got to look at any season in its totality, and consider not just wins and losses, but HOW we've played and HOW we've progressed.

Considering that, this has not been a good year.

I still think had we held on against Bama, we would have beaten Arkansas. It would been an entirely different script and outcome; and we'd be #7 or 8 in the country right now.....
