LINK

Sorry if this article was already posted, and I know this topic has been been talked about, but always good to see former tigers getting national attention. And they left out Mett!

Yeah, add Mettenberger to that and the offensive skill players last year were unreal. The OLine struggled and the defense was down.

Just think. That team could have also conceivably have had Eric Reid, Sam Montgomery, Michael Brockers, Barkevious Mingo, Tyrann Mathieu, Chris Faulk, Kevin Minter, Bennie Logan, Michael Ford, and Spencer Ware.

The 2013 team would have won the National Championship with that lineup.

The 2012 team would have won it with just Mathieu back. I really believe that.

The 2011 team would have won it if Oklahoma State had made a FG.

That is how well LSU recruited and how good the teams were of the last few years.

We lost 3 games because of Miles last year?

Really?

Georgia - how was that on Miles?

Ole Miss? That had more to do with Cam's play calling and Mett throwing 3 INTs.

Alabama? That was Miles' fault? What did he do wrong? If JC Copeland can hold onto that ball, it might have been a different game.

I blame Miles for the Arkansas loss last week because he refuses to adapt. What other losses over the past 2 years are his fault? I also blame him for the Florida game. We had the offense to win that game but we played it too conservative.

Other than that, what losses are his fault?

Could have, should have, if only for a FG, etc etc etc...

I bet you're the type to point out how "lucky" Miles gets when he wins too.

Negative, though we've certainly had some wins I'd call very fortuitous (like 2010 Tenn). I think all reasonable people can agree that in any given season most teams can think of a game or two that could have gone either way. Florida and Bama certainly come to mind for us this year--we won one and lost one. It doesn't make sense to sit around playing the "if only for" game. The results are the results. The best coaches keep their team in position to exploit the good breaks when they present themselves and minimize the effects of the bad breaks.
