I'm apartment hunting, but I have my own furniture, much of it is new and nicer. I found one on craigslist I really like from the pictures, but I don't need/want their shite. Are landlords likely to take their shite out if you ask or say it's the only thing that could keep you from renting? Or usually are furnished apartments, furnished apartments?

Yes, I've contacted the landlord and am waiting for an answer. Just wanted to see what could be said here.

No, this is not for a school project due before Thanksgiving.

Are you sure they aren't moving the stuff out when they move?

If you rent one in the hood, a lot of your shite will be there already.

I am a landlord in NOLA. generally no because i dont want the hassle amd can always find someone who will rent as is. BUT, i know i eventually want to replace some things so i sometimes tell potential renters that i can get rid of an existing piece if they dont want it there.

I rented my apt in 3days last time i listed it, so theres probably a line behind you

I was in the same situation. The guy worked with me and all I had to do was move the furniture out of the apartment into the landlord's storage building he already owned.

It will probably all depend on how much other offers the landlord has to move in as is and his/her willingness to work with you.
