Well, it's premature since Les will still be here for at least a couple more years unless he leaves for another job (and let's face it, we just don't get that lucky). By then, the whole landscape will be different. Hell, other SEC teams have found what they wanted raiding the Sun Belt for first-year coaches. The main thing that will be different, though, is that LSU won't be the prime job that it is now, so that will probably make things harder for us. Putting off a tough decision always makes it tougher. As Jeremy Foley said about Ron Zook, "what must be done eventually, must be done immediately".

Someone had a pretty good post about this the other day. Basically said the buyout would realistically be negotiated down some. the TAF big dogs could swing it but it's getting them to that point that's the trick

I think Lou Holtz could see we need a change at QB and offensive philosophy.

A loss to A&M in the same manner as Ark would just about do it.

Facilities, conference, stadium, resources, natl prestige. .......of course it will be primetime.

Recruits grow on trees here. Have to keep the fans loyal to LSU for the most part though.

bullshite. For decades and decades, people have known that LSU is a veritable gold mine with the right guy behind the wheel. We have an amazing built-in recruiting base with no in-state schools to compete with, great facilities and lots of money.

Only thing you have to deal with is the fans.

If we loose more then three games next year we are going shopping.

OL play is going to be worse with the same offense. Ouch.

Oh, no doubt it'll still (and always) be a good job, but with the talent depletion from losing more and more recruiting battles for in-state players over the next two years of underachievement, we won't be a place where a coach can come in and win big right away. Any coach coming in two years from now is going to need a couple of recruiting classes to restock the talent. A new coach coming in next year would have it already here and could win big from day 1.

Wow, no direct answers to your question so I will give you a list to your direct question and certainly in no particular order:k
Hugh Freeze, Gary Patterson, Jim Mora Jr. , Todd Graham, James Franklin, Jim McElwain, Rich Rod, Dan Mullen, Gary Anderson, Mark Dantonio, Brock Mendenhall, Kyle Whittingham. Questionable but worth mentioning, Lane Kiffen, Bobby Petrino, Jimbo Fisher. Is that enough names for you and Im not even going the Assistant coach route such as Kirby Smart and other NFL assistants?

He's more than likely a GA somewhere at the moment.
