Paul Finebaum Show and the Playoffs -Truth Revealed

Finally the truth is being told.
His guest is arguing for HOW HE PLACES the teams...
he claims that his theory is best... a ONE LOSS Conf Champion is better to put in than a ONE LOSS Div Champion.
...so it is out
IT IS NOT ABOUT THE BEST 4 TEAMS in the country.
He also gave the example about the Ala and LSU rematch and that he did not want to see Ms St and Alabama rematch possibility and that if he puts them both in the Final 4, that could happen.
Can you say MANIPULATION ?
the next question would be MOTIVE ?
and of course we know that...
GREED ... Maximize Audience => greater Revenues
so BEST 4 TEAMS is no longer the criteria
..that's why I said that the BCS FORMULA should have been left in, just added i more game (2 teams)
.....but don't worry, this is just a test, if they make money, the number of teams will grow....
so..

and i think people are going to realize that playoffs aren't always about the best teams being in them

By virtue of their loss to Bama, Miss St could have actually been rewarded by advancing to the playoff and NOT having to play the SECG.
Anyone who think we were getting a better system is an idiot. The system is different, nothing more. Now, we have a different system with a diluted product. Congrats morons....here is your playoff.

No idea why this didn't happen in the first place. When there has been arguments in the past it has always been about the #3 team in the BCS, maybe #4, final rankings getting screwed. If they would have just taken the top 4, everything would work out. Ridiculous that they have to go throught this spectacle including the human element and it's biases.

there had to be another motive ..so FOLLOW THE MONEY

The "problem" with college football is regular season, schedule and conference inequality. As long as that remains an issue, nothing will fix it.
The NFL tries for parody and to help the bad teams get better, to even the playing field by dictating a rotating schedule and such. As long as there is so much disparity between schedules and the rewards each team gets for winning, coming in 2nd (etc) in their conference, anything beyond the two teams that we had is just diluting the product.

I would have left the formula and ADDED 1 game (2 teams) ..end of story...
but if you wanted to add meaning to the season...
choose 6 teams, where the #1 and # 2 teams get a Bye.
...so it would really mean something to be #1 or #2
and could even qualify that if two teams that have played each other already, the brackets positions could be tweaked.

No playoff system has ever been concerned about who the best teams are going into them just like no Heisman trophy has been concerned about who the best player is. LSU vs Bama in the NC doomed the BCS forever. Yes, all for money reasons.

And I would have left it exactly the way it is until some of the other issues were addressed. Things like OOC schedules, some conferences having conf champ games and some not, conference size, how many conference games, Notre Dame, etc. and basically different sets of rules and guidelines for different teams who are fighting for the same reward.....THAT is the issue that was here before, would be here if we just added a game, if we go to 8 teams, etc.
And yes, I meant parity, lol.
