Muck? Bog? Best place to buy them?

They're 9 and 7.

I'd be so happy if they did!! Kids just can't seem to grow. 9 year old is wearing a 1, 7 year old is wearing a 12. Both way behind where they should be.

at that age, I wouldn't buy anything terribly expensive unless they are into the outdoors in a big way...I would probably look at some lacrosse or something like that...

of course, I'd bet they would just love anything that you could find in a camo pattern...

Get them 1 size too big and they can grow into them.

I started buying my two bogs a few years back b/c that was the only ones I could find that made a quality boot in their size. They are 7 now and are into a sz 2, but I have stuck with the bogz, they hold up well etc. I buy them a half size big and they can wear them for almost a full year. Now that they are into size 2 you have a option for taller boot closer to a knee boot which is good option. I did see some similar at academy the other day in their game winner brand that looked to be cheaper than the Bogz, I just don't care for the game winner brand so I'm sticking with bogz for them. Nothing like haveing two the same age or close in age, by the time we buy new bogz and new cowboy boots every fall I have spent damn near $500.

Go to Academy buy these for 27 dollars and when they out grow them get them another pair...my son and daughter have these and we have had zero issues.

be careful what you wish for

mine when from 5' nothing to 6'3" in no time and outgrew everything along the way until he finally started taking over my camo. As far as the shoe size, I really believe that at that age they will start out growing boots by the season - hopefully you can pass them down from older to younger though. find what they feel is most comfortable - I tried to buy mine a good quality rubber boot but he prefers the cheaper red-head insulated ones from Bass Pro, says they fit him best.

AMEN!!
Other thoughts:
-Try to buy during a "buy one get one free" sale and buy a pair 1-2 sizes bigger for next year.
-If deer hunting, buy a pair of "Ice Blanket" insulated overboots to put on their feet when they get to the stand. They last forever and can accomadate many different sizes of boots.

That's OK - I really don't even know what they are for or if anyone uses them much

I kind of went the opposite, about mid grade, I know they will outgrow them quick but with all the facebook sites my wife visits I can get at least 50% of my investment back.
