Check out Hackberry Rod and Guns website and look at their pics for a good idea. They hunt around Hackberry and Johnson Bayou.

Had two friends that hunted east of there and killed 7 green heads, one hen, 2 tree ducks a widgeon and a summer French. Said it was a great hunt but they were pissed they didn't get any specks.

I hunted an area on the other side of the hwy 27 loop (south of gibbstown) recently and it was pretty mediocre for an opening day...ducks were really skittish for some reason...

I can say that there were more ducks and geese in the rice fields north of the intracoastal waterway than I have seen in a long time...
