Imagine if LSU would have beat Bama then lost like this to Arky

I don't think they would have lost to arkansas had they beaten alabama

I think we might have won had we beaten Bama. The stars would have aligned perfectly. By game time, Alabama would have beaten State and Auburn would have already lost to Georgia. There would have been something to play for. I think the loss made this team quit.

In no way would it have stung more. And like others have said I think we beat them had we beat bama. We showed zero motivation at all. It was like we really didn't want to be there.

Nope. Win or lose against Bama, we were emotionally spent. Going on the road, against a team that always plays us tough, against a team hungry for their first conference win, against a team that is actually pretty good and has played well against other elite West teams.
We were going to be flat regardless of whether we beat Bama. That being said, even I wasn't expecting the absolute shite that I saw from the offense against Arky.

Agree 100%
The loss to alabama was completely devastating. We have a young team. Those kids may be big and fast, but they are still just young men. I can't imagine getting up for the ark game after last week.
Even as a fan I couldn't do it.

In addition to:
- The Birmingham Head of Officials in bama game
- The kickoff out of bounds
- Not picking up the Yeldon fumble and scoring
- Vadal blowing his cool (but it was a bad call)
- Not tackling bama receivers in bounds
- not saviang our time outs
- Miles not asking for a review of Cooper's trapped pass catch before the tying FG
- The Birmingham officials declaring 1st and goal for LSU from the bama 21 after Vadal's personal foul penalty, but after Bama had the same penalty in the LSU red zone at the 1 yard line, making it first and 10 instead of 1st and goal from the 16 yard line. Why ????????????????

yep.
And it was the glimmer of hope Ark needed to believe they could win.
We beat bama and we role into that game inspired, and on top of the world. While Ark is sitting there believing there is no chance in hell they could win.
Certainly other factors contributed to the loss but motivation and drive during the week and at game time must be considered.

If LSU had beaten Bama (which they should have because Bama basically gave the game away only to have LSU frick it all up) ... then I am sure there would be way less bitching on here right now over any sort of loss to Arkansas.
