With Bush out the Saints will have to pick up at least one more DB this week, maybe two if Lewis can't go. Even if Baptiste is still raw you have to try and play him as your 6th DB, time to burn the redshirt. I can't imagine bringing in anyone off the street and playing them over Baptiste now.

That said we shouldn't burn him too bad if he isn't that good on the field yet, but have to give him the chance.

Ball will either start or might be the 5th DB Monday night.

Honestly, I think we would bring in someone new to play. SJB doesn't appear to be anywhere near ready to play. He might not even be ready next year.

I don't know what the hell the Saints were scouting when they drafted him. The dude can't even beat out Brian Dixon. Might be the only 2nd rounder that has provided no help to his team.

he's big.... that's really it... that's all they consistently said about him....

not drafting well has put the franchise in a tough spot....

SJB sucks if he showed any glimmer of hope in practice he would be on the field with this piss poor secondary.

If S.J.Baptiste can't see the field now with our DBs dropping like flies, he must be the biggest bust in the history of the Saints and that is really saying something. At least Erxleben saw the field. How would you have liked to have had Jerremy Hill with that 2nd round pick?

SJB is being brought alopng smartly and slowly. He will be ready in 2018; everyone knows that project rookie cb's usually take 4 yrs.

I remember seeing who all the Saints drafted and thinking: "Oh yeah, Saints drafted some 6'3" corner in the second "

Then I read the scouting report which read something like: "converted WR who has only played CB for two years, slow hips, lacks elite speed, below average in coverage, sucks at his position, poor dresser with bad haircut" and was then

I assumed Loomis saw something no one else did.

It's funny how everyone thought the Saints looked like the best team ever (on paper) and now everyone is saying how the front office destroyed this team. Pick a side.

Is Asante Samuel still available? Can he be as bad as what we have currently?

Jim Leonhard and Michael Huff I think available at FS.

On paper we have some serious studs. Except they haven't performed (Cam Jordan, Vaccaro) or are injured (Byrd). Around those studs though, our front office and coaching staff have provided little to no depth. I think everyone was so excited over signing Byrd and bailey ( ) that we completely ignored the shite that was our draft and the lack of any quality depth beyond our on paper stars.

I know it is a name everyone is tired of hearing by now, and that he "retired", but I'd rather have Champ Bailey start at S before Ball. Before he retired he said that he would play any position in the defensive backfield that a team asked him to, and he should know the system.

We can use as a extra safety in the box to guard the tight ends. That's what I do
