True or False - Passing game is so horrid we'd be better off not even passing

I'd say that this would at least hold true in the Arkansas game. The passing game was so horrid you might actually have had more success just replacing every passing attempt with a QB sneak.
We had less than 40 yards going into the 4th quarter and several sacks up to that point probably almost completely wiped out those 40 yards. (they count against rushing yards in college football)
So the average mathematical result of every passing play when you include the sacks may have been very close to 0 if not actually a negative number.
Think about how awful that is

I think we averaged 4 yards per ATTEMPT last night.
Hell Arkansas' passing game is putrid and they looked like a late 80's run-and-shoot offense up against ours.

Mathematically yes, but if you never even attempt a pass in an entire game the defense will always sell out for the run, hurting your run game too.
Not that LSU's passing game really had that much of an effect like this against Arky though...

False. When the opponent stacks 9 men in the box, there is no reason our receivers cannot get open.

If you pass the ball a single time against A&M Miles should be fired. Aggies could not stop the run even before they lost 4 starters on defenwe last week.

And once the negative sack yardage would be factored in that number would necessarily go down

will be the moveable force versus the stoppable object

Well we'd probably only have one person in the route being double teamed knowing our offense so I wouldn't bet on that.

Also for the purpose of this discussion you'd have to assume that by completely abandoning the passing game the QB would have to get involved in the running game so you could at least have a chance with the numbers. You'd have to see a lot of wildcat or option looks. The ability of the QB to throw would be irrelevant. You could use someone like Magee to be the QB.

I just don't understand what they do at practice everyday.
These guys have 1 thing to do, and that is coach football. All day, everyday, and what they've shown so far is the best passing game we can muster?
I don't get it. Never will. How do high school coaches teach all day, then practice, then have better passing games than LSU?

False. You can't convince me with the right play call that we can't execute some passing plays. I stress the right play call because I think cam is not using a full deck of cards

true, been saying since jj, we put the ball in the hands if our weakest player way tooooo many times....
can u imagine what would have happen if fournette, magee, and biggin get 34 more carries

I remember some idiot in the offseason suggested we run the Wing T...well times have changed
Fournette, Magee, Neighbors at FB, Jennings running option
Indy Bowl champs

Would probably be an improvement over the current offense

Hey, just put them in a wishbone and run triple option. It's at least a change.
